Johnson and McLennan. 16th. —Ringarooma, s.s., Captain Chatfield,, from Napier and Southern Ports. Passengers : —Messrs. Maynard, Murphy, Morton, Mills, Sunderland, McDougall, Goudy, Scott, Hutchinson, Fraser, Rhodes, Price, Mills, and Webb. Departures.—October. 16th. —Te Anvu, s.s.; for Napier and Southern Ports. Passengers : —Mesdames Usher, DeCosta, and Williams, Capt. Porter, Messrs. Common, Brunskill, McAlvery, Johnson, Ah Tung, Dobson, Apikara, and Panorama Co. 16th. —Ringarooma, s.s., for Auckland. Passengers:—Mrs. Winter, Mrs. Veale, and Mr. S. M. Wilson. The schooner Snake, owned •by Messrs. Guthne and Larnach, which left Greymouth on 24th August, in charge of Captain Purdie, has not since been heard of. The steamer "Waipara has been commissioned to go in search of her. The owners of the schooner have communicated with the Government in the matter. The newest and largest of the Peninsular and Oriental Company’s mail boats, the Rome, will leave Gravesend, on the 4th October, upon her first voyage for Australia. She picks up at Galle the outward mails which leave London the 21st October. Among the passengers already booked for New Zealand by the Rome, are Messrs. J. T. Wright and J. Davidson, for Dunedin; and Messrs. R. G. Horton, B. Tonks, and Miss Newly, for Auckland.
