TO THE ELECTORS A OF THE EAST COAST DISTRICT. GENTLEMEN,— In view of the forthcoming General Elections, at which I shall stand as a Candidate, to represent this District, I have the honor to solicit your support and co-opera-tion. If you do me the honor of returning me as your Representative, I shall go to the House to support the present Ministry, with an especial view to the interests of the Working and Farming Classes. I shall strongly advocate large expenditure on Public Works throughout the District. I shall propose a Measure to afford monetary assistance to small farmers, "and thus promote the wider extension of Settlements. I shall propose Measures to secure the equal Rating of all Lands, including Government and Native. I .shall always be ready to promote the general welfare of the District; and shall ever consider it my especial duty and privilege to watch over the interests of the Electors committed to my care.
