NEW ZEALAND WOOLS AT THE CRYSTAL PALACE.

The W. Z. Herald of the 20th says: — “ By the mail which arrived on Sunday, we are placed in possession of a copy of the special catalogue of the New Zealand wools, at the International Wool Exhibition, 1881, held at the Crystal. Palace. The exhibits from New Zealand were very few. The Hon. John Hall, Canterbury ; Hon. W. S. Peter, Canterbury ; Mr. D. Gollan, Hawke’s Bay ; Mr. John Chambers, Napier ; the New Zealand Government; Mr. A. Braithwaite, Wellington; Messrs. Henry P. Hughes and Sons, on behalf of Mr. John Cordry, Wellington; Messrs. Dalgety, Du Croz, and Co., Otago ; Sir C. Clifford, and Sir F. A. Weld, Marlborough ; Messrs. C. and J. Nairn, Hawke’s Bay; and Mr. W. C. Buchanan, Wairarapa. The exhibits are made in two classes : Fleeces exhibited in glass cases, and wool exhibited in bales, &c. The New Zealand Government in the exhibits in both classes have, many exhibits from all parts of the Colony, save Auckland. The wools from this part of the Colony are altogether ignored, a circumstance that is worthy of being meditated over by our farmers and, sheepfarmers.
