RESIDENT MAGISTRATE’S COURT, GISBORNE.
Friday, September 16th, 1881. [Before M. Price, Esq., R.M.] J. McDonald was fined 10s for being drunk. H. Trimmer v. Henry Potae. Claim, £lO 18s, for goods supplied. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for plaintiff with costs. Abusive Language. A charge against James Hird for alleged abusive language, appeared to be a kind of neighbor’s squabble, and there being no positive proof of the offence, His Worship dismissed the as one which should not have been brought into Court.
