COOK COUNTY COUNCIL. “IVTOTICE is hereby given, that at a Special Meeting of this Council, held on FRIDAY the 9th inst ; it was resolved — That Part 3 of By-Law 4 be rescinded, and the following words substituted :— Private Slaughter Houses. It shall be lawful for the Council of the County to License, upon the payment of TEN POUNDS, such Slaughter Houses, as they from time to time, think proper, for Slaughtering Cattle within the County, and every such license shall expire on the 31st December, in the year in which it is granted. COOK COUNTY COUNCIL. BY-LAW TO REGULATE WIDTH OF TIRE USED ON DRAY WHEELS. TVTOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of this Council, held on the 9th inst., the following By-Law was confirmed, and wjll come into force on MONDAY, the 26th inst. By-xaw 7. That Drays using a 3-inch tire, shall not be allowed to carry more than 25 cwt. Drays using a 4-inch tire shall not be allowed to carry more than 30 cwt. Drays using a" 5-inch tire shall not be allowed to carry more than 35 cwt. Drays using a 6-inch tire shall not be allowed to carry more than 2 tons. Any Person committing a breach of this By-law, si 1 all be liable to a penalty not exceeding Five Pounds. That this By-law, shall apply only to such roads, and at such times as the Council may from time to time direct. JOHN WARREN*, County Clerk.
