LONDON SEED TRADE. Messrs. John Shaw <fc Sons, of 37 Mark Lane, London, E.C., report through their agent, Mr. Leonard W. Blake, of Christchurch, that the market, during the fortnight ending July 15, ruled exceedingly quiet. The brilliant forcing ■weather had hurried forward the new seeds, samples of which, chiefly of trefoil, trifolium, turnip and Italian rye grass, were rapidly appearing. The home-grown crop of red clover seed was likely to prove of good quality. Clover seeds of 1880 growth, were in narrow compass ; fine parcels being extremely scarce. Fine white mustard was firmer ; bird seeds continued quiet.
