The most favorable time for forming the Borough streets has already past. I am not in favor of breaking the crust again till autumn, if the present formations are be persisted in, grass will not grow, and we shall in a month be choked with dust as heretofore A sufficient Water supply is a matter which seems to me to demand the earnest consideration of Councillors. I see no reason why we should not, for a very small wafer-rate, obtain a plentiful supply of good water, which, indirectly, in health, comfort, and safety against fire, would pay itself. Ladies and Gentlemen, t am opposed to the principle of personal canvass. 1 think button-holing an unfair and annoying process to an elector, I shall not, therefore, inflict it on any of you. I have too much respect for you and myself. But, lest any Voter should say his or her vote has not even been asked by me, I now respectfully request that favor from you, gentle reader, and from each of your friends.
