The Lyon's Tourists.

Conrad and Lizette was placed on the boards of the old Masonic Hall on “Monday and Tuesday evenings, in a" manner which excited the admiration of an enthusiastic audience. “ Conrad ” was impersonated by young Parlato, and Tim Flaherty, the other principal’ male character, by Sammy McLean. These two youths have been in the profession for some years, and are real artists in their way, their comicalities being remarkably clever representations of National character. Lucy Fuller was undertaken by Miss Emily Fox, while the title role fell to the lot of Miss Nina Tulloch. These two' ladies sang and danced in a very pleasing manner, and contributed largely to the success of the entertainment. The programme was not adhered to, so we are not prepared with the names of their songs. Miss Amy Horton carried 'off the honors of the evening in her capitally rendered character songs, especially in her singing of “ Captain La-de-da.” which provoked a hearty encore. This lady, possesses a good figure, and remarkably pleasing features, surmounted, by a pair of “ very telling ” eyes, which she uses to her great advantage, but without the slightest suggestion of familiarity ; in fact, it is but fair to state that all the ladies of the Com-4 pany have individual vocal merits, and personal attractions which go a great way with an audience. After the interval the Wyburd Brothers, exhibited some of thqir champion skating feats which, we

doubt not, rather astonished some of the local talent in that line. The gracefulness of their actions, and the ease with which they made their curvatures, on so miserably small a stage, elicited continued rounds of applause. To see these performers alone, is worth the price of admission. We believe on Thursday and Friday nights the Tourists will appear in McFarlane’s Hall, where the singing and dancing will be heard and seen with better effect.
