Society—Seventh annual meeting —Ratcliffe & Piesse’s Office, on Monday, 15th August, at 8 p.m. licensing Conrt —Quarterly sitting—at the Court-house, Gisborne, on Tnesday, 6th Sept. The Directors in the Southern Cross Petroleum Company, on the 2nd and 4th Mondays in each month. Gisborne Library—annual meeting of subscribers, on Saturday, 13th August, in the Reading Room. Auction Sales. Pitt & Bennett, at their horse sale, this day, 6th August, at 12 o’clock. —1 first-class light harness horse, 2 children’s ponies, and several hacks. Pitt & Bennett, at their Mart, on Saturday, 13th August, at 2 p.m.- —Sections 99 and 100, Childers-street, with 5-roomed house ; part of section 29, Ormond, with smithy; part of section 65, Ormond, with 5-roomed house. Amusements. Musical and Dramatic entertainment for the benefit of the widow and children of the late C. Colley, at McFarlane’s Hall, on Aug. 10th. Fine Art and Industrial Exhibition in aid of the funds of the Public Library, during the month of September. Bazaar, Gift Auction, and Promenade C ncert, in aid of the Presbyterian Church, at Makaraka Hall, on 9th November.
