Sporting readers will be sorry to hear that Pinlire, who ran in Auckland three years ago, died at Yaldhurst, Christchurch, from the rupture of an intestine. He was one of the gamest horses that ever looked through a bridle, and his loss will be a serious one to Messrs. Mason and Vallance.
