Gisborne Grammar School.
G-. Mitford-Taylor, Principal. The by-annual examination of the above School took place in the School Room, and ended on Friday last, the 24th June. Mr. Taylor reports favorably of the scholars, and the progress they have individually and collectively made. The total marks in favor of each appears to be an improvement on that of last year ; and the increase in the number of the scholars, added to the kindly way they speak of their teacher, is a favorable reflection on Mr. Taylpr’s suitableness for a high class school. It, therefore, gives us great pleasure to append the following result ef the examination :— Arithmetic, and Mental Arithmetic. — Senior Division : A. Rees, 92 ; A. Webb, 88 ; T. Dunlop, 84 ; J.
