Messrs. Pitt and Bennett require tenders for the erection, &c., of a two-storied house on Read’s township. Messrs. Bourke and Smith will sell on Monday next, the 13th instant, a lot of pure bred cattle at Waerenga-a-hika. The printing plant of this journal was not sold yesterday, in accordance with the express wish of Messrs. Tabuteau and Ward. The steamer Ringarooma arrived in port yesterday afternoon, from Auckland, and left again in the evening, with a large number of passengers, en route for Napier and Wellington. It was too late to get particulars. The prospectus of the projected Gisborne Gas Company appears in this morning’s issue. Forms of application, &c., can be obtained of Mr. H. Haase, Secretary to the Company, No. 4, Nasmith’s buildings. A notice appears, this morning, that Mr. F. O’Meara, surveyor, of Gisborne, is unable to meet his engagements ; and that the first meeting of creditors will be held in the Courthouse, Gisborne, on Thursday, the 23rd of June instant. The Kiwi leaves Wellington for Napier and Gisborne, on Monday evening next. She will arrive here on Thursday morning, and sail again the same afternoon for Napier and Wellington.
