ANSWERS TO CORRESPONDENTS.
Pink and kite. We are glad to receive your communications at all times ; but, why, may we ask, do you confine your favors to those of the “Ball time” period? And why do you object to the publication of your letters ? We are sure they would be read
with some interest by many of both sexes. We cannot give you any' “ straight tips ” about the coming Volunteer Ball ; possibly, in an issue or two we may be able to satisfy your curiosity. Wi th regard to your enquiry, it is not our present intention to set aside' a “ Society ” column in our journal ; but, if any of our fair subscribers are desirous of contributing some interesting items, and. at the same time void of offence (although it is. hard to think ladies capable of doing anything of the kind) We shall only be too happy to promote their wishes. However we will give the matter our best attention ; and, if we can cause a little amusement, without trenching on the sensitiveness of any person, a limited space in our columns will be set aside, weekly, for that purpose.
