The N. Z. Herald says : —Procoffi, charged with the Te Aroba murder, before leaving for Sydney, left instructions that his watch and chain should be handed to his solicitor, being anxious to show his gratitude to Mr. Brassey for his untiring efforts to establish his innocence. This souvenir Mr. Brassey received by the Rotdmahana on Satnrday. The N. Z. Herald says —We learn that the Rev. Joseph Waterhouse, Wesleyan minister, who was lost in the s.s. Tararua, had been on a visit to his brother, and was making a trip round the coast, on his way to Victoria where he had been appointed to the charge of the Sandhurst district. His son, who also perished, was not the one who was recently here on a visit, but another of the Rev. Mr. Waterhouse’s sons, who had been staying at his uncle’s station (that of the Hon. S. Waterhouse) in the Wairarapa district. In this connection we inay also mention that the brother of Mr. Bell, architect, of this city, who was also lost, was William Bell, and not Thomas Bell, as erroneously stated in the telegram. ■
