Messrs Matthews and Tattley call for tenders for the erection of a house at Pouawa. On and after the Ist of April next, Gisborne will be erected to the privileges of a Chief. Post .Office, whereof Mr. Shrimpton will be the chief. The following sub-offices will, in future, be under Gisborne control, instead bf that of Napier:—Akuaku, Awanui, Te jlfawhai, Tologa Bay, Tuparoa. Makaraka. Waerenga-a-hika, and Ormond.
