Waste Land Board.
At a meeting of the Board, held in Auckland, on the 22nd instant, the following business appertaining to this district took place:— Patutahi.—The Patutahi Road Board submitted a plan of a road at Patutahi, upon ..which they proposed to expend moneys received from sales of deferred payment selections. The Board approved of the proposal. Wairoa. County Council.—A communication was received from the Chairman of the Wairoa County Council, asking that the upset price of certain lands at Taramarama be reduced. The Board decided to reduce the price of certain allotments, but the County Council to be informed that the price of deferred-payment sections could not be reduced to a less figure. Ruakaturi Block. — Application from the Chairman of the Wairoa County Council to have this block surveyed and offered for sale. The Board decided to have the block surveyed into blocks of 5000 acres each. Patutahi Block.—A letter was received from Messrs. Fowler and Rogers, relative to their retiring from their pastoral deferred-payment selection at Patutahi. The Board decided to re-offer the allotment for selection.
