Passengers :— Mrs. Seymour, 3 children and servant, Mrs. and Miss Bullen, Miss Polly, Miss Fairfinnie, Miss Hutchinson, Sergeant Bullen, Messrs. Reylor, Hutchinson (2), Locke, and ten in the steerage. 14 — Josephine, schooner, J. Hansen master, from Russell, with 65 tons coal. 14—Waratah, cutter, T. Savage, master, from Mercury Bay, 20,579 feet timber consigned to Mr. O. Skeet. DEPARTURES.— January. 11—Ringarooma, s.s., for Melbourne via Napier and Southern ports. Passengers — Misses Porter (2), Mr. and Mrs. Kidd, Captain Porter, Messrs. J. Villers, J. Kepth, and Murtagh. 13—Rotomahana, s.s., Capt. Underwood, for Auckland and Russell. Passengers:— Rev. Mr. Dellow, Messrs. Ellis, Berresford, McMillan, Barrie, and three in the steerage. 5 tons general cargo. VESSELS FOR AUCKLAND. Captain Ashby sends the following intelligence respecting vessels which-mayshortly be expected : —The vessels at present loading for Auckland are the Peru (Shaw, Savill and Co.), to leave on January 5, and the Avona, chartered by the New Zealand Shipping Company, to leave on the 10th proximo. The latter vessel takes steerage passengers only; the Peru is entirely a cargo ship. The Loch Dee (New Zealand Shipping Company) left the docks on the 23rd instant for Auckland, full of cargo, but no passenger's. The New Zealand Shipping Company's own vessel, the Pareora, sailed on Christmas eve for Wellington, with saloon and steerage passengers, in all 20. Shaw, Savill and Co. have chartered the s.s. Norfolk, to leave for Lyttelton and Wellington on January 22. She will in all probability have a full saloon. This firm (Shaw, Savill and Co.) talk about putting on the Merope for the end of February, to convey Mr. Fitzgibbon Louch’s special party to Auckland.
