TE PUKE SETTLERS.

The Te Puke settlers have balloted for the order of selection, Messrs. Ryder, Tugge, and Griffiths getting the first place. Great satisfaction is expressed by all the settlers at the quality of the Te Puke land, and several of them have taken up double the quantity originally intended. Mr. Vogan, who has increased his area to 500 acres, said he was perfectly delighted with the soil and beauty of the scenery of Te Puke. The place was all so good that he felt a great difficulty in making his selection. He completely exonerated Mr. Stewart from all blame for the delay.
