• OF THE SUPPRESSED ADVERTISEMENT .../ :o: OlxEtllengre -A-le. HOW HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF, TO BE SURE. Some centuries ago in London, Sir William Walworth stabbed Wat Tyler, and to commemorate the event, a dagger was emblazoned on the city arms. Some months ago in Gisborne, after the agent for a Dunedin brewer asserted in the public press the superiority of his ale he was challenged by the local Brewer for a wager of ten pounds, to produce an ale equal to that manufactured in Poverty Bay. There was no response to the challenge, which was advertised for over a week, and the word “ CHALLENGE ” is now fairly claimed, and will be found henceforth emblazoned on CRAWFORD’S SPARKLING ZSZZKZXL ALE. -J _ . ~, 5 . ■ :o: Crawford was awarded Sydney Exhibition First Prize Medal for Stout,
