We (Napier Telegraph) hear that Messrs Neal and Close contemplate erecting a public hail, opposite Mr Caulton’s hotel al West Clive. The building will be about the same size as the Protestant Hall in Napier, aud when finished, will be used for entertainments, public meetings, &c. The want of such a i uilding has long been felt by the residents iu that portion of the district, and efiorts were made recently to get a hall up by public subscription, but somehow interest in the matter slackened, and now a private firm is about to build it as a speculation.
