FLYING STAKES, of sovs., open to all horses that have been for three months the bona fide property of persons residing between Whangara and Waiapu, weight for age, top weight lOst, the winner of any race exceeding £5 iu value, to carry a 101 b penalty, | mile heats. FOKCED HANDICAP, of—sovs, for all winners, distance | mile. Entrance 10 shillings. CONDITIONS. Post Entries. Three fourths of the Entrance money will be added to the stakes in each race. No winner of money subscribed by the public, will be considered a “ Maiden.” No one will be allowed to enter ahorse who has not subscribed at least one pound to the race fund. No protest will be entertained without a deposit of ten shillings, which deposit will be forfeited if the protest be not sustained. The decision of the Stewards will be final in all cases of dispute. TEIAL STAKES, of sovs, for all horses not over three years old that have never started for an advertised race ; colts, Bst 101 b. fillies and geldings Bst 51b; distance 1 mile. 4. COUNTY ST/ AS, of sovs, open to all horses in Cook County on or before the Ist November, 1876; 2 miles; weight for age. 5. MAIDEN PLATE, of sovs , for all horses that have never won an advertised race, matches excepted, at the time of this meeting ; one and a half miles ; weight for age. 6. LADIES’ PUBSE, of l| miles, welter weight for age ; gentlemen riders, professional riders to carry 71bs. extra. 7. CONSOLATION HANCICAP of sovs, for all beaten horses during the meeting. Distance once round the course. Handicap to be adjusted by the stewards or whom they may appoint. 8. HACK EACE, of —sovs, once round the course, post entries. CONDITIONS. No person will be allowed to enter a horse in any other but the Hack Eaces, unless the owner of the horse is a subscriber to the Club of at least 1 sov. Sealed entries must be addressed to the Secretary, and sent in under cover to the Waerenga-a-hika Hotel not later than 7 p.m. on WEDNESDAY, the 20tb December, 1876, with name, age, ana description of the horse, and the colors of the rider, together with qualification fee, and 10 per cent on the value of the stakes. Any horse foaled during the foaling season of 1873 shall be deemed a threcyear old ; if the time of foaling of any horse is not known to be judged by the mouth. All disputes shall be settled by the Stewards of the Club, and their decision must in all cases be accepted as final. In case of any match being run on the course on the day of meeting, the owners of the horses shall pay 10s io the Secretary and Treasurer of the Club in advance. In all other matter the Auckland Jockey Club Bules will be strictly adhered to. Entrance fees to course: Foot passengers, Is; horsemen, 2s; including driver, 2s 6d, each.
