LAND PURCHASES.

We have obtained from Mr Wilson, Land Purchase Commissioner, the following information Lands over which sales and leases have been completed, and deeds sent to Wellington consist of 115,000 acres, for which about £3OOO has been paid as purchase money, rent, &c. 391,000 acres are in course of purchase, on which about £ll,OOO has been paid ; about one fourth of these lands have been passed through the Native Land Court. 213,000 acres are in course of lease ; about one fifth of which have been passed through the Native Land Court. ,» Of the £ll,OOO odd which has been paid on lands in pourse of purchase, £6OOO odd has been paid on blocks passed through the Native Land Court, and £5OOO odd on those not yet passed the Court.
