Mr W. S. Greene reports the sale at Makaraka on Friday last w as but poorly attended, and bieMing very languid, only six head of cattle being sold at prices Tanging from £4 12s 6d to £8 12s 6d for cows ; all the young stock were withdrawn. The saddlery sale re T. Gray’s 'estate, at the mart, on Saturday, was well attended; bidding brisk, and fair average prices were obtained. The sale will be continued on Saturday next to clear out the balance.
