POVERTY BAY TURF CLUB.

A club meeting took place at the Masonic Hotel on Friday evening last, and everything seemed to pass off satisfactorily. The adoption of the balance sheet showing arrears to the amount of £23 was moved and carried unanimously. Mr M. Hall tendered his resignation as secretary of the Club, which was accepted. Messrs M. Hall, S. M. Wilson, Dufaur, Caulton, Tucker, Poynter, DeMoidrev, McDonald, Rogan, P. Breingan, J. W. Johnson, and Ferris, were elected as the Committee for the ensuing year. Captain Ferris was proposed and unanimously elected secretary. Messrs Rogan and Dufaur were elected as auditors. It was decided that a committee meeting should be held on Friday next, the 24tli instant, in accordance with the rules of the Club.
