A. Wilson, Hamlin, Major Brown, Gill, Giles, Skelley, Levin, A. F. Hardy, Jones, Wallace, MasterGoodall.C. A. Brown, Patterson. DEPARTURES. OCTOBER. The Opotiki is reported to have left Napier for Gisborne on Thursday last. Captain Fairchild has been placed in command of the Hinemoa. The Jane Douglas was not reported last night as having arrived at Auckland. The Rosina will steam for the Coast to-night, calling at Gable End, Tologa Bay, Tokomaru, Awanui and Hick’s Bay. The Go-ahead is to leave the Manakau on Monday next, for Gisborne via the North Cape. The Wellington Argus of the 20th says : —The inquiry into the conduct of Mr Nancarrow (Inspector of steamers) was concluded to-day. We have not yet learned the result. Messrs Graham & Co., have been appointed agents for the steamer Rosina, and announce that she will make regular trips between Poverty Ray and East Cape, calling at all places along the coast. We are glad to be able to report favorably of the Pretty Jane. Mr Gouck requires to get her some 10 feet higher up the beach with, the improving tides, when he will be able to ascertain the exact amount of damage she has sustained, which, at present he cannot do. Four holes have been discovered on the port side, and there may be as many more yet. If everything holds good, a week hence may see her ready to steam for Auckland. The European Mail says : —The fine iron clipper barque Baldoran, of Dundee, Captain Scott, is so long overdue that all hope of her is given up. She left Bluff harbour, New Zealand, in ballast, for Valparaiso on April 7 last, and has not since been heard of. Captain Scott belongs to Arbroath, and the crew, which numbered about 20 hands, were chiefly natives of England.
