He won the first prize in 1869 as a yearling, beating two-year-old horses. In 1871, as a three-year-old, he also carried off the first prize against aged horses. In 1872 he carried ofi the second prize, being beaten only by President, one of the three newlyimported horses. In 1875 he took the silver cup for the best draught entire at the Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s show. Terms, £3 10s per mare.
