He won the first prize in 1869 as a yearling, beating two-year-old horses. In 1871, as a three-year-old, he also carried off the first prize against aged horses. In 1872 he carried ofi the second prize, being beaten only by President, one of the three newlyimported horses- In 1875 he took the silver cup for the best draught entire at the Poverty Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s show. Terms, £3 10s per mare. For two or more mares, the property of the same owner, as per agreement. Every care taken, but no responsibility incurred.
