Grant M R Miller J H Coleman TREASURER: W Routledge. SECRETARY: J Bennett. GENERAL REGULATIONS. 1. The competition will be open to all stock, provided the exhibitor be a member of the Society. (Qualification, two guineas). 2. Members exhibit free (except in the Champion Classes) if their subscriptions for the current year, and all arrears, are paid up. Non-members can exhibit Carriage and Hack Horses on payment of 10s 6d ; and 2s 6d will qualify to exhibit Farm Produce, Pigs, Implements, &c., &e. 3. AU entries must be made with the Secretary, or forwarded to the office of Mr M. R. Miller, Napier. For Stock, not later than the 12th day of October next : for Produce, &c., by the 16th. 4. No competitor will be allowed to show more than three lots of Sheep in any one class, and it shill not bo competent to enter any Stock in more than one class except in the Champion Classes. 5. All Stock exhibited shall be bona fide the property of the exhibitor or his principal. 6. Farm Produce and Implements, &c. must be on the ground by 4 o’clock on Thursday, 19th day of October. 7. Sheep must be on the ground by 11 o’clock on Thursday, 19th day of October, in order that they may be judged. 8. Cattle, Horses, Pigs, and Poultry, must be on the ground by 9 o’clock on Friday, 20th day of October. 9. A ticket or order will be delivered by the Secretary on or before the day of the Show to the persons in charge of each lot for its being received into the Showyards, and no Stock whatever can be allowed to enter without such an order. 10. The competing Stock will be classed and distinguished by tickets or numbers to be affixed to each lot immediately after they are placed in the Showyards. 11. Stewards nominated by the Committee will accompany the Judges to prevent interference during the examination of the Stock. 12. Stock which cannot be shown in any competing class may be exhibited as extra Stock. 13. Any animal eligible to be shown for a class premium cannot be shown as extra Stock. 14. Horses must be haltered and led, and on no account be removed from their allotted stands without permission of the Stewards. 15. For Horned Cattle, one man to be in attendance with each lot. 16. Servants in charge of Stock admitted free, and subject to the orders of the Stewards. 17. No Stock or Implements to be removed from the Yards until after 4 o’clock p.tn. on the last day of the Show without a special order from the Committee. 18. The Committee will not under any circumstances hold themselves responsible for loss, damage or misdelivery of Stock or Implements exhibited at the Show. 19. No Horses except those entered for exhibition will be allowed on the ground on any pretence whatever. 20. Horses intended to be entered for the Leaping Prizes will be admitted to the Yards at 2.30 p.m. 21. After examining the Stock, &c., and deciding on its merits, the Judges shall sign and give in their reports to the Committee, and their awards shall be final—provided no valid objection is made to the Prize animal’s right to ompete in their respective classes. 22. All protests must be made in writing and left with the Committee within one hour of the Prize Tickets being affixed to the exhibits, and the Committee will decide the same as soon as practicable. — Gates open to the Public after 11 a.m. on Thursday, 19th October. Price of admission, 5s ; and on Friday, 20th, from 9 to 12, admission 2s 6d ; after that time, Is. Cards to include both days, 5s each. The supporters of the Society are reminded that their annual subscriptions are due, and are respectfully requested to pay the same at an early date to the Hou. Secretary, J. Bennett, or the Hon.
