PORT OP POVERTY BAY. ARRIVALS. SEPTEMBER. 20 — Jane Douglas, s.s. Capt. Fraser, from Napier with general cargo and the following passengers. Messrs J. Villers, Nasmith, G. E. Read, and 3 natives. 21— Opotiki, schooner, Captain Harris, from Napier with cargo. DEPARTURES. SEPTEMBER. 21— Echo schooner Captain Brown for the Coast and Auckland. 22— Jane Douglas, s.s., Captain Frazer, for Napier. Passengers: Mrs J. Pyke, Rev. E. Williams, Globe Variety Troupe (B.J). Messrs McKaig, Burnett, W. W. Smith, Mann; and two natives. 22—Rosina, s.s., Captain Kennedy, for Mahia, passengers: —Judge Rogan, Dr Nesbitt, Messrs. Baker, Kelly, Barsdell, and some natives. PROJECTED DEPARTURES. The schooner Acadia has nearly completed her refit, and is loading in the stream with 40.000 feet of timber, from King’s Mill, for Napier. She will probably sail on Wednesday next. The Nelson schooner is loading timber at King’s wharf for Lyttleton. She will take about 42,000 feet, and will sail all next week. The schooner Opotiki was towed into port on Thursday evening last by the s.s. Lily and hauled alongside King’s wharf where she will load timber for Napier, sailing about Friday next. The s.s. Pretty Jane which left this port on Friday morning last, arrived in Auckland on Wednesday at 6 p.m. The ship Waimea passed Deal ou the 2nd July. The City of New York reached San Francisco a day late, but she left New Zealand two days late. The ship Abcrnyte, bound for Auckland was off Beachy Head on the 4th July. The Union Steamship Company’s s.s. Wakifipu sailed from Plymouth for Sydney on the 17th July. The s.s. Waitaki, belonging to the Union Steamship Company, left England for Auckland on the Bth July. The Charlotte Padbury, 636 tons, and the Ontalpa, 676 tons, are stated in the Home News to have sailed from Gravesend for Auckland on the 4th and sth July respectively. The clipper ship Orari, 1015 tons, Captain Mosey, sailed from Gravesend for Auckland on the 13th July. Passengers :—Mrs Archer. Mr W. B. Quigley, wife and family, Mr Crispan Eliz, Mr J. R. Smith, wife and family, and 239 adult Government immigrants. The Orari passed Deal on the 14th July, and the Start on the 16th July.
