Harper, Ormond 11 a.m., at Makauri at 2.30 p.m., and at Gisborne in the Wesleyan Chapel, 7 p.m.— Presbyterian—Rev. W. H. Root, at St. Andrew’s Church, Gisborne, on Sunday next, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. and Matawhero at 2.30 p.m. The Holy Communion will be administered at the morning service. Masonic Hall.—Mr McEvoy, the celebrated tragedian, about whose appearance on the Gisborne boards much expectation has been rife, will, we learn, positively appear in some of the leading characters from Shakspeare’s plays, this evening in the Masonic Hall. Mr McEvoy will be assisted by the Southern Cross Combination Troupe, and, if all that is promised is realised by this company, the entertainment will be a good one.
