Hegarty’s Combination Tboupe.— This really excellent combination of talent will appear before a Gisborne audience this evening, and, we doubt not, will draw a crowded house at the Masonic Hall. The troupe have been “doing” New Zealand for some little time, and have been received with enthusiasm in all tho towns where they have played. We arc told in the various press critiques in our exchanges, that description of the versatility of the several performers in this troupe is almost impossible ; and that a personal inspection is necessary to comprehend their wonderful performances. Mrs Hart — or theatrically speaking Miss Kate Russell —has, we are told, “ a very nice voice, added to considerable personal attractions,” which latter is sufficient to fill the hall with “ curious ” ladies, and “ admiring ” gentlemen. Her dancing, too, is said, to be something “ immense. ” Professor Hennecki astonishes with his wizard tricks. Mr Hart is said to be irresistibly amusing. Miss Harrison has a sweet and powerful voice ; and though last, not least, our old friend “ Johnny Moran"—-who appeared in Gisborne with Baker’s Hibernicon Troupe some time ago— will amuse with his really entertaining delineations of Irish character. Mr Gardner the indefatigable business agent has preceded the Troupe, (who will arrive this morning in the Rangatira,) and has arranged for the first performance this evening. An advertisement appears in another column.
