A meeting of the Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society took place yesterday in the Criterion Hotel. Mr F. Sutton in # the chair. The Judges, Stewards, and Committee were appointed for the forthcoming Show, which, it was decided, should be held on the 19th October. A sub-committee was nominated to draw up a programme. It was resolved that ten gold cups of the value of £5O each, should lie offered as prizes, to be won three times before becoming the property of the winner. A vote of thanks to the Chairman concluded the business. Napier Telegraph.
