The Pretty Jane did not leave here for Aiii-Mand till Thursday evening instead o f Thursday morning In consequence of this delay—whiA we learn was occasioned through her live stock cargo not being ready for shipment in time—the. English tnAil sent by her will not reach there in time to overtake the mail -steamer for San Francisco, which leaves Auckland to-morrow (Sunday). This is the second time that our English mail lost its opportunity through irregularity in the departures of the Jane hence. ’ A subsidised steamer should arrive and depart with greater regularity than the Pretty Jane does.
