Malicious Injury—Within the last few days, a malicious injury of a most heartless nature, has been perpetratedin an unoccupied allotment owned by Mr. Teat, aud situated in Gladstone Road, near Mr. Dick’s wheelright, and blacksmithing establishment. In this allotment a number of poplar trees wore planted a year or two ago, and some of them have grown up, to a height of sixteen feet, and are certainly an ornament to it. A miscreant has, however, destroyed no less than nine of these a day or two ago, and Mr. Teat offers a reward of £5 tor such information as may lead to the discovery and punishment of the offender.

Gladstone Road. —Our attention has been lately called to. a decayed board in the flooring of the bridge opposite the entrance leading to Captain Read’s residence from the Gladstone Road, which if not speedily replaced, will likely cause accidents. The board has all but rotted away and the vacaney thus created in the structure is such as endangers traffic on the road. In a dark night it is impossible to notice the hole in the bridge, and horses are liable to have their legs broken in crossing it. We trust the Road Board will cause the necessary repairs to be promptly made. Divine Services To-morrow . — Church of England — The Rev. E.
