POVERTY BAY PETROLEUM COMPANY.
At a meetingof Directors held on Tuesday evening last, it was resolved on the recommendation of Mr. Parsons, the manager, to sink the shaft a further depth of 43 feet making 80 in all. The recommendation of the manager was endorsed by Messrs. Stubbs, Hall, and W. Cooper, who visited the work fest week. It was resolved to sell the freehold (about one fifth of the block) which the company at present hold, should they receive a reasonable offer for the same. A 12th call of 5 s per share was ordered to be made, payable on or before 19th instant.
