ROAD BOARD.

The Board held its fortnightly meeting on Monday last. Present: Messrs. Hardy, (chairman) Kihg Tutchen, and Breingan. The Engineer was instructed to inspect and report on the main road levels. Mr. Tutchen arranged with the Board relative to the delivery of stone for pitching the water courses in the (MadHtone-road. A ,Penders for building a bridge in Childers-street: J. Thompson, £95; sad Jennings, £96 10s, were rejected. Tenders for repairing and keeping district roads were opened; that of Mr. Williams for the North district, at Is 9d, and South district at 2s per chain was accepted. W. Sherar’s tender to rent the Turanganui ferry at £3O a year was accepted.
