The Bay of Plesfy Times is announced to appear in enlarged form as soon as the necessary plant is to hand from Melbourne. The announcement is received with satisfaction throughout thedistric'. Captain Marks, Harbormaster, informs us that while pulling up the harbour from the pilot station last Thursday morning, about 9 a.m., his attention was directed by one of his boat’s crew to a remarkable body in the heavens in apjtearance resembling a rocket, travelling from E.S.E. with great velocity in a N.N.W. direction. Captain Marks states that the meteor burst in a shower of sparks exactly similar to a rocket.— Bay of Plenty Times. Holloway's Pills asd Ointmbxt.—The most effectual cure for Go it and Rheumatism. —A frequent cause of these complaints is the inflammatory state of the blood, which usually attends bad digestion, produces lassitude with great debility, and indicates the want of a proper circulation of that fluid, which with its impurity superinduced greatly aggravates these disorders. Holloway's Pills are of so purifying a nature, that a few dosrs taken in time are an effectual preventive against gout and rheumatism, but whoever may have an attack of either should use Holloway’s Ointment also, the searching properties of which, combined with the effects of the Pills, ensure a certain cure. The Ointment should, at least twice a day, be thoroughly rubbed into the parts affected, after they have been su flieiently fomented with warm water to open the pores, and thereby facilitate the introduction of the Ointment to the glands.
