The billiard tournament, at the Masonic Hotel, terminated ou Wednesday, Mr. H. O. Cuulton being declared the winner. The games, which were well contested throughout were watched with great interest by a large number of the lovers of the “ green cloth. — Napier Telegraph. Mr A. F. Sisley, a gentleman who for a considerable period held a Government appointment in this district, and was last November transferred to Napier, was a passenger per Hannon s coach last evening. Mr Sisley has resigned his Government appointment and will undertake the duties of business manager of this paper. Mr Sisley’s return will be hailed with pleasure by a large circle of friends and the public generally.— Dau of Plenty Times.
