PORT OF POVERTY BAY ARRIVALS. JUNK. Nil DEPARTURES. JUNK. Na The Go-a-head left Aucklaud for Gisborne at 5 o’clock on Monday evening. She should arrive I his afternoon. The Pretty Jane is announced to leave Auckland about Friday next for this port. The English Mail via Fri:co arrived in Auckland by the Cyphrenes on Sunday last, the Poverty Bay .portion of which will, doubtless, come on by the Go-a-head to-day. On March 20 Messrs. Wai. Denny and Brothers launched from their building yard, Dumbarton, an iron screw st earner, named the Taupo, of 720 tons gross measurement, and the following dimensions :—215 ft. by 27 ft. by 14 ft. She has full poop and top-gallant fore--a*tie. and has large passenger accommodation being fitted for between 60 and 70 first-class, and 26 second, for whom every c«incen< -nee is provided in the shape of lavatorif-s, smoking-room, Ac. She will be fitted with engines of 16U horse power nominal by Messrs Denny and Co., engineers. The Taupo is a duplicate of the Hawea, launched a month ago by the same firm, and, like her, is intended for the coasting trade of New Zealand. These steamers are for the Harbour Company, Dunedin.
