Gisborne School Teacher. —We have been requested to state that the time for receiving applications for the appointment of teacher to the Gisborne School, has been extended by the Commissioners to Monday the 28th June, instant. Ba da.—This celebrated one-legged performer on the .rapeze has delighted small but appreciative audiences in the Music Hall during the week; tin performances on each occasion concluding with a dance in which the company seemed toJiSn heartily.

Church Services will be held to-morrow as under St. Andrews, the Rev. W. H. Rout morning at 11, evening, 6.30. Matawhero, 2.30. Holy Trinity, morning at 11, evening at 7. Court House, the Rev. Mr. Carr, morning 11, evening 6 30. The services at Ormond will be discontinued during the winter months, until further notice.

Odd Fellows Hall.—We are glad to learn that the members of the Loyal Gisborne Lodge of Oild Fellows in this town, have decided on building a Hall forthwith. The Lodge is in a prosperous condition, and the. want of superior accommodation is much felt. It is proposed to erect such a building as will be found suitable to the growing requirements of the place for public purposes. Already some 500 shares have been subscribed towards that object; and, as the list is open to members only, the energy displayed is worthy of the highest commendation.
