The Go-a-head from Napier dropped anehor in the Bay ear ly yesterday morning to exchange passengers and mails, and proceeded on her soya aat 7 o Hock. The Dnralli Con pmy and several others were passengers by her. Captain McGregor intends to ran a small steamer between O|X>tiki and Tauranga. It will be a branch steamer to gather the Coast trade for the purpose of centreing it in Tauranga. and thus the more readily to have the trade of the whole of the East Coast settlements conveyed to and from Auckland. Auckland. It is reported that the Auckland Strum Packet Company are negotiating for the pirchase of the fine 3t< anirhip Hero. The Rosario, which has been repaired, has left for England via the Falkland Islands. Arrived : Caller Ou, from London, lOTJdays out; no immigrants. Sailed: Marathon,withacargoofkaurigum for New York. Wellington, June A A telegram has been received per Sarama, stating that the Cyphrenes with the mails via San Francisco left for Auckland on May 24, her proper date. The steamer Express, formerly trading between Dunedin and the Bluff, is to make Wellington her head-quarters, and engage in the Napier and East Coast trade. Pout Chalmebs, June 4. Arrived—Earl of Zetland, ship, from London, 77 days out, with 287 statute adults, all well Auckland. The Llewellyn, 298 tons, has been purchased by the Auckland Steam Packet Company. The Company have not purchased the S-S. Hero as has been stated.
