ROAD BOARD.

At a meeting yesterday the following tender was accepted :— Contract, C cutting and filling in 6 chains Ormond Hoad,£l9, M. Boland, also £8 a chain extra for gravelling. Communication was received from Mr. E. K. Brown relative to the state of Custom House and Childers streets, also from Mr. W. H. Tjicker relative to the Waikauae drain. A list of horses impounded at Makaraka for the three montjisj ending 24th May, shewing fees received during that time amounting to £l5 4s was received from Mr. Steggall. Tenders were authorised to bejcalled for the following works :— Contract D. ami E., forming about 80 chains and 30 chains respectively on road Matawiiero to Beach. Contract F forming about 26 chains Bloomfield Road to Middle road.
