POBT OF POVERTY BAY ARRIVALS. MAY. 29—Go-a-head, s.s., Captain Carey, from Napier. Passengers: Messrs M’Donald, Ashton, Grey, Gill, Mackenzie, Anderson, Mrs Mackenzie (2), and Miss Mill. DEPARTURES. MAY. 29— Go-a-head, s.s., Captain Carey, for Auckland. Passengers: Messrs Carsun, Mann, Maddock, Shepherd, and Maxwell. 31 —Onotiki, schooner, Captain Burke, for Napier with timber. The Rangatira is expected to be up this trip anti to leave again for Napier on or about to-morrow. The Go-a-head arrived in Auckland at 7 o’clock on Monday morning last, she will leave again for this port to-night, and is advertised for Napier on or about Friday. The ship Countess of Kintore left Gravesend on the 16th March, with 137 immigrants, for Napier. She was seen off the Start on the 18ih March, at which time the wind was blowing strong from the east ward. Napier, May 31. The steamers Manawatu and Southern Cross left for Wellington on Saturday. The Star of the South arrived yesterday morning with the San Francisco mail. The steamship Oceanic sailed from London for Hongkong via the Suez canal, she being the largest boat ever sent through.
