LADIES’ EXPRESS.

The Editor will be glad to give insertion to any local contributions from his lady friends that may be considered interesting in the family circle, or to the sex generally.'] PARIS FASHIONS. I am sorry to say that Louis XV. heels are still as much in fashion as ever, whatever doctors can say tn put them out. The proverbial graceful demarche of Parisian ladies is thus become very rare, and still possessed only by those who content themselves with the dcmi-heel. A walking-dress of maroon faille and noisette vigogne. The skirt, of maroon faille, is very elaborately trimmed, first with a gathered flounce, headed with a pleating twice stitched down. Above this pleating, a bouillonne drawn six times, with headings on both sides. The round vigogne tablier is fastened behind by two scarves of maroon faille. The close-fitting cuirasse bodice is also made of vigogne. It is piped all round with maroon faille. The pleated revers of the sleeves and bodice are also of maroon silk. The noisette felt hat is bordered and trimmed with maroon velvet; a blue bird and blue ostrich feathers finish it off. Felt has never been so universally w’orn as this year. Out of ten bonnets or hats, eight at least are made of felt. The chijfonne bonnet of lace and ribbon is, for the present, out of favour.
