Church Services, to-morrow. —The Rev. W. H. Root will (D.V.) hold Divine Service at Ormond at 11 a.m., Matawhero, 2.30 p.m., and St. Andrews, Gisborne, 6.30. Services will be conducted at Trinity Church, Gisborne, at 11 a.m., and 7 p.m. Waikanae Bridge. —At a meeting of the inhabitants held in the Court House, Gisborne, last Tuesday evening, it was resolved that the erection of a foot bridge over the Waikanae stream should be gone on with at once. The original subscription list will be taken up again to which a goodly sum has already been attached. Tenders are called for in to-day’s issue. A vote of, we befiieve, £3O, made by the Road Board last year, will also be a welcome addition to the funds in providing for this more useful and necessary work.
