PORT OF POVERTY BAY ARRIVALS. APRIL. 29 —Raneatira, Captain Griffiths, from Napier, with miscellaneous cargo, and the following passengers:—Rev. E. Reigner, Miss Bourke, Messrs. Chatfield, Dufour. Cross, Hogan, and thn-e in the steerage. DEPARTURES. APRIL. 24—Rangatira, s.s., Captain Griffiths, for Napier. Passengers : — Messrs. Sherriff, Connor, Tasley, Laesen, Tahey, and De Moidrey. The Go-a-head left Napier for Auckland on Monday evening last. She muy be looked for to-morrow, or Monday. The Southern Cross, in the event of the Go-a-head being detained for repairs, may be expected with the English Mail about Monday next. The well-known steamship Great Britain, built in 1843. has now completed her 35th voyage to Australia. It is estimated that during that time not less than 30,000 persons have travelled in her. The C.G. p.s. Luna made an unsuccessful attempt to raise the steamer Una, that sunk some time back in the Napier roadstead. The Golconda, with the Suez mails, left Guile for Australia on the 11th April. H.M.S Sapphire has arrived at Adelaide. H.M.S. Rosario has left Melbourne for England. According to the New Zealand Timex another valuable addition to lhe already large fleet of steamers which hail from the Port of Wellington may be expected to arrive at that port about June next. An iron steamer, of 133 tons register, named the Kiwi, was launched in January last at Hull, to the order of Messrs. Levin and Co., of Wellington. The vessel is fitted with compound engines (which are placed aft), and rigged as a threemasted schooner. In appearance and size she will not be unlike the Star of the South. The Kiwi was to haveleft for Wellington ab »ut the end of February last, and will make the voyage out under canvas only. She is intended for the Fa«t Coast (North Island) tr.de, and will be placed under the command of Captain Campbell, of the brigantine Enterprise.
