CORRESPONDENCE.
:o: Our columns are open, for free discussion; but we do not hold ourselves responsible for the opinions of our Correspondents. :O: TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —As a general election will take place at no distant date, would it not be well for the electors of Poverty Bay to be prepared with a candidate who can be relied on to represent their interests ? The system of “ soliciting favors” from our paternal Government has proved alike foolish and ineffecthal. It is only by asserting a degree of political importance commensurate with our commercial prosperity that we can hope to secure justice to this district. —lam, &.C., Elector.
