M‘Donald, Hemerui, and Heni Mataroa. The Go-ahead may be expected this morniug from Napier, and will steam for Auckland immediately the mails are on board. Intending passengers had better be on the alert. All hope of hearing of further survivors of the Gothenburg is abandoned. The fund raised in Melbourne and Adelaide amounts in the aggregate to about £7OOO, for which there are numerous claimants. Auckland. The whaling Jaarque Albion was sold for £lOOO. She was purchased by Captain Daldy on behalf of the Auckland Steam Packet Company. The Court gave judgment on the evidence taken at the enquiry into the loss of the steamer Pretty Jane at Poverty Ray, and was of opinion that the stranding of the vessel was caused by the pilot’s imprudence and lack of skill. They also censured James Carey, the chief officer, for biking the vessel away without. orders from the Captain, and censured Thomas Fernandez, the Captain, for absenting himself without any reason,and suspended his certificate for three months. Lyttelton, April 6. Sailed : Pleiades, for London, with 2700 bales ftvwl, 21 skins, and 750 tons (?) wheat.
