PORT OF POVERTY BAY ARRIVALS. APRIL. I—Southen Cross, s.s., Capt. Holmes, from Auckland. Passengers —Messrs. Peacock, Burnand, Dole man, Breingan, Egan, Clark, Mrs. Pearce and three children. 2 — Rangatira, s.s., Capt. Griffiths, from Napier and Wellington, with miscellaneous cargo and the following passengers—Mr. and Mrs. Crae, Messrs. Beda, Brag, Smith, and Webster.

Griffiths, for Napier and Wellington. Passengers—Mr. and Mrs. Hartnett, Messrs. Bell, Robertson, Muir, and Jones. The Go-a-head put in to the Bay on Wednesday morning last to take up passengers and wails. No passengers or mails came by her as she did not intend to cal! on account of the heavy gale blowing at Napier when she left. The weather taking up during the night Capt. M'Gillivray obligingly bore up for the anchorage, and proceeded to sea again immediately the mails were on board. She may be expected from Auckland about Monday next. The schooner Julius Vogel, that was stranded on the wreck of the Paterson in the Waitara River, is repotted to be alongside the wharf at Waitara, without having sustained any injury to speak of.
