The Horrors of the Queensland Floods. —As a sample of the horrors of the Queensland floods, we give the following telegram from Rockhampton, published iu the Brisbane Conrier:— “ A disastrous flood has occurred at Boolbura. Upwards of 300 persons have been rescu* d from drowning by punts built by the railway department. A large number have endured frightful sufferings. Women and children, with little clothing, took refuge of houses and in trees, and were without food for three or four days. A German and his three children have been drowned. A girl fell into the flood, ami her sister, in attempting her rescue was also drowned. A family of the name of Ryder and four others are reported drowned. A canvas township of 500 people has been formed at the Two-mil* East Bridge. A woman has been rescued from a tree, after being four days without food. Another woman was found by the resche parties standing up io her neck in water, holding achild on her head. Several people have been severely bitten by mscots iu the water.”
